Show me your bassinets
We will be keeping our in our room for the first month or so. I don't want to use the pack n play because it takes up a lot of space and I'd like to leave it downstairs as an extra place to change the baby. We really want to use a bassinet, but are trying to find something that isn't too expensive, for such a short period of time, and that isn't too frilly. DH hates most of the ones we look at because of all the ruffles. I thought about using the arm's reach cosleeper, b/c I am planning on BFing, but I want the baby to get used to sleeping without me immediately next to him or her.
Anyhow, could you please show me what you are using for a bassinet? TIA!

Yeah, it is...good thing we are just borrowing it. If you're only using something for a month I would do the rock & play or something like this with the stroller basket:

Re: Show me your bassinets
we used this one
however, DD didn't love it and we only used it for a few weeks. we used the RNP til she was almost 8m!! the RNP is amazing and I really feel like its a little better than a bassinette due to the incline and the fact that the baby cant really roll around it it, so its almost cozier!!

Re: Show me your bassinets
We used the rock n play with DD and will use it again with #2. DD was in it for 9.5 MONTHS (I was waiting until she didn't have any overnight feedings anymore since her bedroom is upstairs -- I hope to transition the next one a bit sooner lol). It was such a convenient item! We used it at friend's houses, the ILs, etc. It was a great first "bed" -- and DD is 14 m now and perfect even after sleeping in it for that long. Great $50 investment. I also loved the angle because I didn't feel worried she was going to choke on spitup lol.

Re: Show me your bassinets
We got this co-sleeper. I liked some of the other models better, but they were way more expensive. I like that this has height that adjusts without the separate leg extensions and DH was happy with how sturdy it is (he's very picky!) You could always keep the side up if you don't want to use it as a co-sleeper.
