Shoes
What kind of shoes should my 8 month old be wearing? She can walk if I hold her hands, and is pulling herself up.
I bought her converse cause they are super cute, but I just saw the other thread about them, so what should I buy for her?

Re: Shoes
nothing right now...not until walking 100% on their own. once DD was walking 100% on her own i bought her stride rites...they were the only one sized to fit her feet and a proper shoe store.

Re: Shoes
I just got really cheapo sneakers at BRU since my DS isnt walking. He only wears them once every few weeks for a few hours at most! I hate shoes! (For example if I was going to the park I would use them!) (They were only $2.70 each and look like converse so they are so cute!!!!)

This.
when DS was walking on his own we went to stride rite and bought him a pair of their stage 2 shoes. They are super flexable so they mimic the foots natural movement. He had them for about 3.5 months before outgrowing them. We then bought him a pair of the stage 3 shoes. Still a flexible sole but not as much.
The stride rite in the Deer Park Tanger stores, and Lake Success shopping center in New Hyde Park are both outlet stores. Same shoes at about half the price in comparison to the regular stride rite stores. And they size at them just as they do at the regular stores.

Ditto. My ped said no shoes at all until they can full time walk on their own...it's bad for their developing feet. once DD was walking full time- we went to stride rite to get her measured and to get their recommendations of which shoe was best for her- since I was clueless

Re: Shoes
I'm trying to figure this out also. I never have shoes on DD in the house. But when we go out I have always had a pair of boots on her through the cold months. I just worried about her feet being cold. Now it's getting too warm for them. I have a bunch of shoes my friend gave me (a few Robeez, PediPedis - nice shoes), but they're size 4 and DD is a size 3. I was going to get her a couple of pairs from Target that I saw on their website that look like Robeez, but are cheaper. I just don't know if she really needs them. Now that it's getitng warmer out she doesn't need them to keep her feet warm. So it seems more like a fashion statement than anything else.

Re: Shoes
I have heard nothing as well, but when we go to the park I like to hold her hands and help her walk, so she needs something on her feet for that.....
Does it not matter since they would only be on her feet for a little while?

In that case I'd probably get a soft soled shoe like a Robeez. And only put them on her when out at the park walking, etc

Re: Shoes
i would say nothing until she is really walking. for short park outings and such, you can just use a soft soled shoe.
