what do your friends know?

So i was just wondering if your friends know you are ttc or not?
I have a few friends that are aware and dont ask...those are the ones with kids who know what ttc is like.
but i have one friend specifically who is really getting on my nerves
she is truly one of my closest friends so its not like i was hiding it, its just that being single I dont think she gets it. she got mad at me for not telling her i stopped the bcp a few months ago and every time i see her she asks if i am pregnant. i keep telling her that when i am, i promise to tell her and that its hard to go month by month and relive the disappointment but she is relentless! i decided the occasional times i do see her, to order a drink just to avoid her asking...but sometimes she still does (in which case i just pick up my glass to shut her up).
its frustrating and i was just wondering if anyone else has this experience? is there something else you can say or do??

I havent told anyone really...since we have IF its harder to tell and explain what is going on and I personally dont like people in my business so its really just one girl at work and my DH plus all of LIF, lol

I would just tell her like you said before that when you find out you will let her know but to ask questions each month when it hasnt happened bothers you...she should respect your wishes and stop asking.

I couldn't help but tell people and I'm kinda sorry I did because now it's like no egg is sacred and a few people already know because they keep asking and I'm only like 7 minutes pregnant.

For that particular situation, i think you've made it clear and she doesn't seem to get it. Try to mremember she's probably just really excited for you and doesn't realize how much her asking hurts.

I know pre-marriage/miscarriage/pregnancy, I have said things to people that at the time I had NO idea how they could be the wrong thing to say.

A few close friends and family know we're ttc, and that's because most of them (mostly the family) are the ones who have been pestering us about having children. They're aware that we are having problems, so by telling them, we got them off our backs.

I have a close group of girlfriends who a few of them are ttc as well, so they know everything.

None of my friends know specifically, although we have mentioned in the past that we would love to start a family in 2013. I want to talk about it, but there's so much fear about what can happen. Also, I have a bunch of pregnant friends, and none of them talked about TTC, so figured I'd follow the trend.

I only told my mom and my cousin, DH told his parents and his best friend. I don't want a lot of people to know because it just adds to the stress.

My friends know that we will start TTC after our Disney vacation next week. They only know because it sees that all the baby questions started once we said I do. Hopefully they don't ask constantly after our vaca

Some friends know, but I really only have one friend who asks about it, although not every month or every time we talk.

I feel like TTC is so personal, and with a lot of people, I'm not comfortable with essentially discussing my sex life! The people who know know that we are trying, and I like to leave it at that. As for your friend, maybe you can try just nicely telling her that you don't want to keep discussing it because it upsets you, and remind her that she'll know as soon as there's something to know!

My close friends know what's up, but I'm pretty free with my mouth. Not too many things are a secret

Most of my close friends know, only 1 person in my family knows and I really hope she keeps quiet. That's seriously the last thing is for my family to start asking. They hound me enough already!

DH and I have actually decided not to tell anyone until I am pregnant and there is a heartbeat.

We say that now but when a BFP shows, We will probably cave.

My friends don't know we are actively trying. Which is a good thing b/c I never thought it would take this long. However, b/c DH and I have been married for so long and all of our friends have children, I don't think they would be too surprised when I finally get the chance to tell them. As far as family goes... my parents and sisters know. My ILs don't know anything. They haven't asked and DH wants to surprise them. I think my ILs will be shocked, so I can't wait to tell them one day (hopefully soon ).

everyone knows but we have had a long journey so it was only matter of time b4 everyone knew

as for your friend i think this is one of those times where u just have to be honest with her..tell her it is hard to say month after month that no u r not pregnant and when it does happen u promise to be the first to tell her

my friends don't know anything. even DH's family doesn't know anything really. They all know that I have a mild case of PCOS and they don't really ask. although they have gotten bolder in the last few months asking if i have gone to see a specialist, but i just avoid and evade their questions as best as i can and they have learned to not ask. I don't think its anyone's business or not to know if we are TTC. If i want to tell you, fine, but if i don't, don't ask.

My mom and my sister both know what's going on.

my friends don't know much-I only told ONE friend and that's because she had kept asking when were going to start TTC and one night after a few glasses of wine I let it slip!

I do confide in her when i have questions or concerns-when AF was late and nothing was happening (no AF; BFN she knew) she's also given me tips on things that might help us.

Another friend of mine knew that we would start TTC after our anniversary trip to Europe. But I never told her that I had been off BCP all these months.

For me personally it just makes it easier not having people know. No pressure every time I see them/speak if we're pregnant yet.

DH Just bought a 4 door car (we both had 2 doors). So of course 2 of his friends made comments that kids are coming soon (let's hope )

Oddly enough I havent told my best friends even though I am sure they know.
I have 3 close friends from work that know we are trying.
