microscopic blood in urine? update with another TMI question
has anyone been told they have this? my doctor did 3 cultures and it came back each time. now i'm going to see a urologist on monday. i googled and of course that was dumb. anyone have experience with this?
Update from appointment:
holy mother of god that was the worst thing ever!!!!!!!!! i was NOT prepared for that!! luckily he said my bladder is fine...i just need a sono now on my kidneys to rule that out. but OMG!!!!! i am NEVER doing that again!!!!!!!! and TMI...but I'm still bleeding when I pee. is that normal????

Some people just have blood in their urine and it is completely normal. I wouldn't worry. My whole family, myself included have been to the urologist for blood in urine and it has never been anything

Same thing here! Mom, Sister and Me always test positive. I was sent for several tests and everything was fine!

over here too. my mom has tested positive for years and years. a couple of years ago, i did too. went to the urologist, they did some tests, everything was normal. some people just seem to get this, and it doesn't mean anything.

If you are on birth control pills it could be a minute amount of breakthrough bleeding.

Not sure of the name of the test..but I had it in the office it was a little uncomfortable but not horrible. My cousin was sedated for hers, don't know why. But he was able to stretch me out a lil bit so I wouldn't have to urinate as often that was a bonus

Cystoscopy
I had one and wanted to kick the dr while he was doing it.
If I ever have to do it again, I want to be sedated.
My MIL went for one at her Dr and she said she hardly felt a thing. I think my Dr at the time was just an a-hole. Which is one of the reasons I switched.
They can put a numbing spray on you to help with the discomfort. Get it, just incase your guy isn't graceful with the camera.

OH MAN!! I'm sorry it hurt so bad. I guess our Drs aren't very graceful with the scope.
I described it as Barbed Wire that was sitting in a fire for about 20 minutes and then rammed up my pee hole... Sound about right?
I cursed the doctor and the nurse while he was doing it. Called them both fcking liars, etc etc etc.
I said if I ever needed that again, I want to be KNOCKED OUT.
Anyway - I left there holding myself. Yes a grown 34 year old woman was holding herself like a child because the burning after felt like the worst UTI pain EVER and I had to sit sideways in the car. Had some bleeding.. by the next day bleeding was gone but still sore. Took 3 days to completely go away.

I'm laughing (now) reading this cause it's so true!!!! my primary doctor and this doctor was like...oh its just 20 seconds you won't feel anything. you have to be sh1tting me!!! thank god that nurse was there...i almost broke her arm. that description was perfect!! it burned so bad!! it's been 2 days for me and the bleeding is just about gone but it still burns to pee. i never want to do that again!

OMG I forgot about the nurse!! I almost broke her arm as well LMFAO!!! I was cursing them both and literally thought I was gonna snap her arm! No way she wasn't bruised after that.
Glad everything is fine tho.
