Re: What's the best bottle, from your experience, for an exclusively BF baby?
DS took to the Playtex Drop In bottles and nipples extremely well. The nipples are shaped similar to a breast and we used the slow flow nipple at the beginning when he was still young. I highly recommend.

We tried several and Tommee Tippe worked best for us, sorry.

Re: What's the best bottle, from your experience, for an exclusively BF baby?
DD uses Tommee Tippee and we've never had a problem. We use the regular 4 bottle pack with the original nipples through the first year, not sure if we were supposed to change them but they never bothered DD. She only gets bottles a day or 2 a week when I have to work.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I am going to first try the Playtex drop-ins with the latex nipples! Off to BRU tomorrow!

Used playtex dropins for both of my girls. I had no problems.

Re: What's the best bottle, from your experience, for an exclusively BF baby?
We tried the bottle around 2 months old and used the Playtex drop-ins with the Slow flow nipple. Initially it was a disaster also, DD had the same reaction, choking, gagging, not latching, etc.
In the beginning my DH found that she latched on better if he gently pressed the nipple to her mouth so that her lips were around the top of the wider part of the nipple, instead of just around the thin part of the nipple. Hope that makes sense.
It took some practice, but she eventually got the hang of it. I was able to BF three times a day and on weekends and she would have two bottles a day during the week, while I was at work. She was able to transition back and forth with no problem.
Hope that helps. Good luck!

We tried several and she would only take the playtex drop-ins.
