Re: Personal Stuff at work
I have a locker where I keep hand sanitizer, hand cream, body spray, a jar of lip balm, tissues, and tampons. During the day I leave my jacket in there as well & my newspaper, sunglasses, etc.

Re: Personal Stuff at work
I find it interesting that what most of the women on here think of as "a lot of personal stuff", I classify as food, or health/hygiene stuff, most of which is disposable/consumable.
If I ever had to leave immediately, I wouldn't care about granola bars, milk in the fridge, or some hand lotion. For me, "personal stuff" are things I would be disappointed to lose if the building burned down. I consider myself having a lot of personal stuff, because I do have quite a few non-consumable items in my office that I would definitely not want to lose.
I probably have more "personal stuff" in my office than most coworkers, but it makes my 40/week a little more tolerable for me.
Not that there's anything wrong with having lots of consumables in the office, just a different POV.

Very true.
You'd be surprised that even the smallest things mean so much when taken suddenly away from you.
I have never replaced the small Marvin the Martin I lost in WTC. It was soft and had magnets in its arms and legs, really no puff to his body but his famously helmeted head was only just slightly smaller than an antennae ball. About 4inches tall at most. I miss it still to this day. It would travel around the office to show I appreciated someone lol.
I replaced my Red, White AND blue albums (CD sets) that my husband had gotten me for my Bday a few weeks prior.
I replaced my Designation certificate also destroyed.
I have not replaced the Yellow Submarine Mug I had.
Trust me. Food Stuffs and Tampons weren't even a glimmer in my mind.
The dried roses I had at my desk. The very first set of roses my husband ever gave me. A light lavender at their peak a only slightly darker version dried. I wasn't even married then. We had been dating about 2yrs by then. But yes, I kept those dried roses at my desk and they are irreplaceable.
