One crib or two?
Is this a silly question?
I assumed we would have two separate cribs...one for each baby.
But DH's friend who had twins said they put both babies in the same crib...they liked to sleep positioned head to the other's toes.
What did you do?
Pros/cons of each way?
Thanks!

Re: One crib or two?
my girls are still together, but they will need to be in their own crib soon. When they are un swaddled baby A rolls all over the place including onto her sister.

Re: One crib or two?
I have 2. They slept together until about 4 months. At that time they started moving around and waking each other up.

Re: One crib or two?
Thanks, that's what I figured (2) - but for a minute, we got excited at the prospect of only needing to buy (and fit) one crib into the nursery, which is on the small side.

Re: One crib or two?
We have 2. They shared one until about 5 1/2 months when one started rolling in his sleep. We were afraid he'd roll onto his brother so that's when we separated them.

Re: One crib or two?
such a good question and i was wondering when we switch to 2 cribs..
we have a crib from DS and can use that and will get one after the babies are born for when they need their own space.

Re: One crib or two?
Definitely two. Mine slept together for about 2 1/2 months. Then they were moving around too much so they each were in their own from then on.

Re: One crib or two?
I wanted to add a pic I snapped of them around 4 1/2 months old. We were shocked to find them like this in the crib ... they started on opposite ends of the crib.
We separated them soon afterwards!

Re: One crib or two?
We had one crib for 2 - 3 months. As much as they loved sharing a crib, they were happy to have their own once we seperated them. We used to put them on their own sheet saver with space in between. They would move around at night and snuggle.

Re: One crib or two?
We had two cribs, but they slept together for naps and at night until about 2 or 3 months. They started moving around, so we split them up. They are in the same room and can see each other, though.

Re: One crib or two?
We had our boys in our bedroom for the first 8 weeks. They slept together in the pack n play. We then put them in their own cribs in their room (they share a room). They slept a million times better.
My boys like to spread out. The sleep stretched out with their arms over their head so no way would they both have been comfortable in the same crib.

Re: One crib or two?
Never had my girls sleep together. They were kept separate in the hospital so I just followed suit at home.
The first 4 months they slept in the Fisher Price NB Rock and Play in our room. And then we moved them to their cribs.
Occasionally in the very beginning I'd let them sleep together on the bed. But they have always slept better separate anyway. They were probably tired of being so cramped in the womb

Re: One crib or two?
I was thinking 2 also because they will just wake each other up and play when they get older.

Re: One crib or two?
In the beginning my slept together, first in a bassinet, then crib --in fact, they gravitated towards each other! At around 5 months, they started moving around too much and someone was always getting kicked, so we separated them for nighttime. For some naps, they still sleep together. I love when they cuddle together
