How possible is it to get abs to go back to normal after having multiples?
With proper nutrition and exercise, is it possible to get your abs to go back to normal (how you were pre-pregnancy) after a multiple pregnancy?
Or do you end up with extra skin?
Is it much harder to accomplish if you have a C-section?
If you managed to do it, can you please give me an idea of what sort of time-frame/pace you lost at?
And whether you delivered vaginally, scheduled C, or emergency C.

I have to agree with Paula on this one! I have not visited a plastic surgeon yet...but a visit will be in my future. I still have about 10lbs to lose to be back to my pre-pregnancy weight...but my stomach will never be the same. I can tell that already. I have all this extra skin right around my mid-line. I honestly think that even if I lost 30lbs....i would still have this extra skin.
Just to add...I did have triplets and I gained about 65lbs. I wore a size 2 before I was pregnant.

Dr Bruce Brewer from LIPSG in Garden City..... LOVE LOVE LOVE him and so happy with my results...Feb was 1 yr since my surgery and I couldnt be happier...I was a real mess after having my triplets I have double hernia and muscle separation along with all that extra flab hanging down that nothing was going to fix..... I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight within 6 weeks of having the kids but the damage was done....

My stomach will never be the same as it once was. My ab muscles are seperated and my skin is has lost elasticity. Those things wont be fixed without surgery - which is not happening. BUT that said,I lost all weight, my stomach looks flat, muscles have definition, and I can wear a bikini. I'm not complaining! Pics in twin preg album too.

My issue is so much the extra skin but the bloating. In the morning my belly is flat but after I eat and drink I have a little pouch. I am just starting to strengthen my abs...I am hoping the bloating is due to weakness.

As a mother of 5 year old twins and who was a size 6 pre pregnancy, no my stomach will never be the same without surgery. I would never get it, but I doubt I could ever wear a bikini again. I have stretch marks near my c-section scar and the little flab that hangs over. Before I got pregnant again I had lost all my baby weight (which was 45lbs), but my stomach never looked the same especially around the belly button area...the skin is just horrendous.
All very worth it though

For me, the bigger issue is the c/s pouch.  My stomach went back to normal after the twins, but the pouch never went away.

julz - you look AMAZING!
after i had DS#1, my stomach was nowhere near perfect, but i still was wearing a bikini 1 year later. ive always carried weight in my belly, so even though i still had a little pouch it wasnt any worse than before my pregnancy (other than a few stretch marks). however, with the twins my stomach is just not the same. the skin has definitely lost its elasticity and i have soo many more stretch marks. i couldnt pull off a bikini anytime soon bc the skin looks so damaged. i am researching tummy tucks, but im SO nervous

As long as I don't have a lot of extra skin, I think I'll feel ok.
So, what exactly is a c-section "pouch?"
Is that worse w/twins?
