Re: what are you packing in to the hospital?
Probably a small/medium duffel bag or a small (carry-on sized) suitcase.

Re: what are you packing in to the hospital?
Take notice on the hospital tour. I had my baby at Good Sam and there was not a closet in my room for me. All I had was the window sill to store things on.
So if I had a rolling suitcase I would have had no where to put it.

Re: what are you packing in to the hospital?
I am taking a backpack. I took a small, carryon suitcase with wheels and I over packed so much I was embarassed when I left!
I am downsizing this time!

Re: what are you packing in to the hospital?
I have a soft sided Vera Bradley duffel that's already packed. This way I can smush it into any space.

Crashing... this is exactly what I used. It was more than enough. Also, DH had his own and we weren't that far from home if we forgot something.
I also had a bag packed for DS that my parents kept that had some activites (coloring books, videos, etc), change of clothes, diapers, sippy, wipes, etc.
I pretty much used most of the hospital stuff anyway.

Re: what are you packing in to the hospital?
I'm bringing a medium sized soft carry on kind of bag. I agree that with the lack of space in hospital rooms, a squishy bag you can shove places makes sense.
