I know this is a given.Chat Icon But what do you do to curb down on the smell of a wet dog and trying to keep your floors clean after dog returns from a walk?

I wipe his paws and towel dry him as he walks in the door. If he is sopping wet I'll blow dry him a bit to not have to smell wet dog until it stops raining. Brushing when he's wet helps him to dry faster too.

My dog has a rain coat and we have trained him to wait in the front hall to be dried when he is wet.

We give them the wipedown, especially the paws since they get very muddy. One of my dogs won't even go OUT in the rain though, he's a big baby! lol!

This!

My dogs will stand by the front door until we get a towel, with their head hanging like we're torturing them until they get a wipe down!
