TODAY May 15- LI School Budget Vote!!!
Please take time to vote on your local district's school budget. Polls are open today from 6 am-9pm.
We are living in unprecedented times. Over the next several years there will be catastrophic cuts to education.
Whether your kids are infants, pre-school or attend private school what happens this year will effect the quality of education for many years to come.
If your children attend private/parochial school their textbooks, bus, and other services are funded by the public school budget.
If your children receive any additional services, those are tied to the public school budget. Many districts and the state are attempting to change special ed classification parameters to exclude children from services under the new tax cap as every year special ed services comprise more and more of the overall budget.
Please get out and vote. The quality of our children's education depends upon it.
