another shower invite q

I plan on sending my shower invites out in the next few weeks or so, and I'm in the midst of getting address labels together.... my mom is telling me not to mail an invitation to my cousin who lives in Texas, since I already know she won't be able to come and it will look like I am asking for a gift.. on the other hand I just wouldn't want her to feel offended if she finds out from my aunt that I sent them out.. WWYD?

I had to deal with a lot of this for my sister's bridal shower. I wound up emailing the OOS girls and telling them that I knew it would be a long shot if they could make it, but I knew they were important to my sister and wanted them to feel included. They all appreciated it, and I left it entirely up to them if they wanted to send a gift.

for my oos girls i had the invite sent to them.
i wanted to keep them in loop on whats going on. for some strange reason they like seeing/getting stuff like this
plus they know im not fishing for a gift

I'm sending my OOT friends an invite just to keep them in the loop. I think they know i'm not fishing for a gift either.

Send it to her. If she doesn't send a giftso be it. You wanted her to feel included.
