Nail Poll

So a couple weeks ago I posted about how I injured my toe and thought the nail was gonna fall off, well it fell off dammit!!!!!!!!!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon

Anyway, I am in a wedding on saturday, do I pedicure the rest of my toes a nude color so the one toe doesn't stand out, or just throw some clear polish on them? I guess this questions goes for the rest of the summer as well

UGH!!!!!!

Re: Nail Poll

I would do nude.
When my toenail fell off I kept it covered under a band aid all summer- I was so grossed out by looking at it.
I'd pedicure the rest and just keep a band aid on the big toe.
I know it didn't look great - but, to me it was better than not having a big toe nail

Re: Nail Poll

For me, it would depend on the toe and the style of shoe. Chat Icon Like, if it's the big one, or if the shoes are open-toe, then I'd probably go with a nude color and a bandaid over the nailbed.

But if it's one of the smaller toes and you're doing peep-toe, as opposed to open, then I might do a fun color.

Re: Nail Poll

I'd probably paint them a cute color and put a band aid over the lost ones, provided that it's not the big one...I have no idea what I'd do if it was the big one lol

Re: Nail Poll

Call your podiatrist. They can attach a fake nail that will last months until the new one grows in. I forget the name of it but I'm sure you can Google it.

Re: Nail Poll

I can't wear closed toe shoes because the Bride wanted us in purple open toes.

If I use a fake nail what does it glue to? There is no nail, so would that cause some sort of infection if I did that? I don't want to harm anything.

I would'nt glue a fake nail to just skin.
That can't be good for you.

If you had a bit of nail left, then I can see that.
I say go nude on the other toes and maybe cover with a bandage.

I wouldn't advise that if there is no nail at all!

This is the system I was talking about. It works and is put on in a doctor's office

Wow I have never heard of this before.
And I wish I had.
I have had issues forever with my toenail. I injured it once and it hasn't been the same since.
This is awesome.

It has happened to me and I got a fake nail put on as well; I think it grew in faster anyway.

LOLOL I am nervous to touch it, I picked up one of my area rugs before and it brushed against the toe and it felt so weird

I have to say it doesn't look that bad, but maybe when the nail starts to grow in it will look worse

Re: Nail Poll

I wound up getting a color that had a pinkish tint so it kind of blends with my skin. I had to get something that would cover up my other big toe since that one is bruised underneath and dark brown, I am sure it will be falling off any day now too.

Thanks for all of your help and suggestions.

I am just thankful this is not my wedding since Aunt Flo came today, the dress is super tight (guess I gained weight), I lost my toe nail, and I went to go pick up the dress today from the cleaners and the dry cleaners had a sign posted that they were not opening today. I hope this is the end of my bad luck lol
