Buying a car out of state..
Anyone ever buy a car out of state (say NJ or CT)?
Is it really worth the possible sticker price savings?

Re: Buying a car out of state..
We bought one in OH
It was worth the savings. Drove it back. Just like any car you need to look it over very carefully. We had a buddy there so my hubby flew in, he and the buddy looked the car over. It was a cheap flight so it was worth it if the car was good, it was. Let us keep the plates on it while we drove it back. We mailed his plates back when my hubby got into NY.
In general I'm not a fan of buying any car used off line from the NE. Too much snow, salt and rust damage unseen. But if it checks out clean its worth it.

Re: Buying a car out of state..
For some reason, I think when you register it you'd have to pay NYS sales tax....something to look into before you buy the car.

We leased a car from NJ and it was SOOOO much cheaper. Great deal but yes we paid NYS tax, etc.
