is it tacky
To announce a pregnancy (to family only) on Father's Day? Would that offend other Father's? Like stealing their thunder on "their day?"
We will be roughly 8 weeks and we thought it would be the perfect op to announce this pregnancy to family but I don't want to step on others toes on their day?

Not at all! We did it on mother's day.
I announced with Lara on Mothers day too. EVERYONE was sooo happy. I think fathers day is an awesome way to celebrate the day

I dont think its tacky at all .. You can also be celebrating your DH's kind of first fathers day too sooo why not choose that day! Congrats! Hope youre feeling great :)

Like everyone can wish him a happy father's day and you can kind of celebrate him and the other dads and then toward the second half of the day you can make your announcement??

thanks, this is a great idea! I was planning on just bringing DS in his "big brother" shirt and letting everyone figure it out but maybe we wil just change him into it later in the day.

If it were someone's wedding or shower, then yes, I'd say it was tacky.
