Eating before the 1 hour glucose test?
I have my glucose test in less then 2 weeks. On the paperwork that my doctor's office gave me, it says that I can eat something 1 hour before I start drinking the liquid. I don't recall doing this with DD #1. Did anyone else eat that morning before the test?

Yes, you can eat. They told me just don't have an Ihop breakfast. I've been craving an Ihop breakfast ever since she said that, but that's a different story.
Eating wont mess with your #s since you are drinking the orange stuff that is loaded with sugar.

yes, my doc told me to eat something and not go on an empty stomach, but to avoid sugary foods. i ate a bowl of oatmeal before i went and i passed.

Perfect. They just said not to eat anything 1 hour before I start drinking the liquid.

I did not eat but mine was first thing in the morning. After I drank the stuff and was tested my blood sugar was 84. I would say don't eat or drink anything other than water.

I ate before my 1 hour test. I had an egg with cheese. Nothing crazy and I PASSED.

I was told not to eat b/f or right after I drink the liquid. I did the test at 8am so it was no big deal. FYI, I passed.

Exactly. I ate a light breakfast in the morning and did not eat or drink anything 1 hour before I drank the liquid. All was fine.

my dr said an egg on a english muffin or toast (balance of protein with a light carb) they gave me a list of choices and I had two eggs with two pieces of toast. It held me off. (I don't remember doing this with DS ~ I thought I had to be on an empty stomach but I had a different OBGYN then too) I passed.
