I know it's sill, but with his lil brother

I wonder if he will ever really love and be all over him. DS has sensory issues and has expressive and receptive delays. Since ending EI and starting special Ed at the early learning center in our town he's been doing great. It's just trying to work on his expressive delays and dealing with his 11 month old brother that gets tough.
Sometimes he's doing so well and speaking well I feel like he's ok than I see him next to other kids or freak out when his brother crawls by him. He screams when his brother touches him or is playing with something he wants. He never hurts him or anyone. He's very passive, but the touch of his brother bothers him sometimes. Other times when HE wants to he will give him a hug on his own, laugh than it's another week I have to wait for that. My heart melted for those few seconds. It's rare. His brother so far seems to be fine and isn't fazed by the screams or tantrums.
Today the baby fell crawling. Was totally fine and didn't cry, but b.c I stopped playing with Mason, went to the baby to see if he's ok Mason got mad and hit his head.
Btw... He loves kids about his own age or older though.

I bet it gets better as your younger son gets older.

DS has sensory stuff too, he is nuts for his big sister-tackles, hugs, wrestles. Little sister, he pretty much ignores her, though little by little he is warming up. He sometimes brings her toys. Once in a while he kind of pets her.

I think it might be because of how much we tell him she's little, be careful, etc. He probably wants no part of her until she can wrestle.

I'll add, he does not treat other kids like he does his big sister-it's night like he is all over kids all the time. Just her and his cousins-older kids really. He has 1 friend that he hugs like crazy at daycare. Other than that, he isn't really hands on with other kids his age.

Sounds like our boys are very similar. If Mas had an older sibling he'd like that sibling better only b.c he likes older kids. I also think that babies are u predictable and he doesn't like unpredictable things.

it took almost 2 years for AJ to warm up to his little sister.. and that all her doing... once your LO is more dependent and can play more things you "should" see a change in Mason.

they fight like cats and dogs, but for the most part they are friends...

don't try to push it, don't get depressed if it doesn't happen over night... it takes time....

AJ has classic autism so his DX is different.
