Re: bottles and boppy question
2 boppys!!!!! they are great! you are also going to need both hands free to feed them at the same time. They are going to need to be burped etc. and having your hands free is key.
we use 8 , 4oz dropins, with 16 ish nipples a day in the beginning. at 9 months we still use the 4 oz bottles

Re: bottles and boppy question
You will figure out what works for you. I have 3 boppys. Right now the girls r 7 months and I have two on the couch where I give bottles during the day and the other is in the nursery. Before bed and when they wake up I feed them in the nursery. One twin sits in the boppy and the other lays on the side of it propped against my leg (sitting Indian style on the floor). I can hold one bottle and prop the other on my elbow and my other hand is free for bed time stories.
Bottles we used 4 oz ameda, then 4oz Dr brown, then 8 oz Dr brown. I just recently bought 3 more 8 oz. I have a set in the diaper bag for a to go bottle kit, then 10 more to make bottles at home. Right now they drink 4 bottles a day so I make them the night before and need 8 bottles. Hope this helps!
Eta: in the beginning they can eat around 8 bottles a day a piece so if u r going to make ahead you will want at least 16 4 oz bottles.

Re: bottles and boppy question
We clean our bottles as we go & have all along. I didnt want the bottles laying all over the place. WE only have 6 total for my twins who are 7 months old. WE use the playtex drop in so those are so easy to just throw away the liners.

Re: bottles and boppy question
we use 4 of the 9 oz bottles. we like to clean them as we go.
we bottle propped on the bobby, the sleep andplay, bouncer seat, car seat - so you don't have to have 2 bobbys

Re: bottles and boppy question
I started out using the playtex drop ins. I would use 1 bottle each per day and just replace the nipples and drop in bags. When they were using 8oz, I used about 3 each and made a couple of bottles in advance. We had to switch around 3 or 4 months to the Dr Browns bottles. I used about 5 or 6 8oz bottles a day each for a few months and then it started to slowly lessen.
Definitely get 2 boppys. They will be your best friends! I also had these and started using them around 2 months and used them until they were able to hold a bottle on their own. BEST INVENTION EVER!!!!

Definitely 2 boppys! My twins are 7 months old and they are heavy now and we still use the boppys everyday day. DH and I use the boppys to hold them while we feed them. I am also using them to help them with sitting up. I got them for my shower and am so glad I had 2.
I also used the Playtex drop-ins although I didn't have tons of the 4 oz bottles. They were only on those for a short time and then we had to move to the bigger bottles. I have about 12 bottles.

Re: bottles and boppy question
I plan to get 2 boppys. I was told by some btdt to get a few different types of bottles since every baby likes different ones. I'm not sure how many yet but Im assuming different sizes.

Re: bottles and boppy question
We have two boppys. In the beginning we did not use them often because I would feed one baby and then the other right after. It always worked out for us that way. Now they use the boppys in the pack and play when they topple over when they are playing. They sit up really good but sometimes they topple when they are reaching for toys and I didn't want them to hit their heads all the time.
We have about 12 8oz Dr. Browns bottles. We have a box we didnt open because 12 is more then we need but we bring 6 to daycare everyday so we need some at home. My mom also has two at her house so I don't have to bring them everytime.

Re: bottles and boppy question
I EBF so I can't help with the bottle question.
But I had 2 boppys. Thought they would come in handy to just prop them and let them hang out. But I actually never wound up using them. Was afraid my DS would rip it right out from under them.

Re: bottles and boppy question
We have 18 8oz Dr. Browns bottles. We never had any 4oz bottles and I'm very glad we didn't because my boys were eating 4oz before their 1 month check up. They would have been a waste for us. For the first couples of weeks when they were eating less we used the 2oz ready to serve Similac bottles they used in the hospital. The first few weeks were crazy enough and those things were a god-send. I only have one bobby and my boys seem to hate it so for us 1 is plenty. They like to eat in their nap nanny chairs instead. I highly recommend the nap nanny chairs, they worked great for us.

Re: bottles and boppy question
I had about 16 bottles. It's a lot but i feed by the metal can, so I need to pre-make them and stick them in the fridge. I just put them in the dishwasher. Dr Brown's sells a basket for the parts.
I have two boppies and they definitely come in handy. Mine are 10 months old and can hang out in their boppies and hold their bottles and drink on their own. It's helpful because they don't know yet to tilt it a lot, so lying in the boppies they don't have to tilt too hard. Then I used to feed them at the same time in their boppies before they learned to hold their bottles.

Same reason for 2! Plus when the first started sitting up, the billys was good to put around them on the floor for when they would topple over.
Bottles, we use the Cheapie evenflo glass bottles. They were born small and the nipple size of these bottles was perfect... And we ended up sticking wwith these. (i used avent with my first and saved all the bottles, the twins never got the hang of the larger nipples). I bought a gigantic pack (maybe 12) of the large ones, and a few of the smaller sized ones for the beginning. I pumped half of their daily intake for a few months so I liked to keep some stored in the fridge.
