Injectables with high FSH
Has anyone with high FSH had success (BFP) with injectables and IUI? TIA

Injectables with high FSH
How high is your FSH? Everybody responds differently, my FSH was about 53 and my body did not respond at all to injectables, my dr. Tried 3 different protocols, but others have had success with FSH numbers higher than mine....

I don't know if it would have worked, but my RE was putting me on the highest dose of injectables. My FSH was 26.
As, you know, I never started them.

My FSH was 23 when last tested. My insurance doesn't cover anything IVF related, so I'm hoping injectables + IUI will work, which will be a lot cheaper than IVF. Then again I don't want to do an IUI if that won't work with high FSH levels.
caps612- we're you scheduled for IVF or injectables + IUI?

No, we were doing it with IVF. If I did not have atleast 3 follicles, we would have cancelled it and did IUI though, since it was not worth doing an ER for a possible 3 eggs.

did you have an amh test done?
ever try clomid, which i know they say doesn't work with high fsh, but it did with me (although mine is a tad lower than yours).

No.. to date I've only had FSH test. Next test with be FSH again and include AMH.

No.. to date I've only had FSH test. Next test with be FSH again and include AMH.
I would definitely get the AMH test and an AFC sono. That way you have a more clear idea of what you're up against and how aggressive to be.

Injectables with high FSH
This woman got pregnant naturally with a FSH greater than 150. She is currently pregnant. I love reading success stories like this! my FSH is high also I found it to be inspiring. Best of luck to you!

i got pg both ways iui and ivf. my fsh was 26 and the worst amh possible . literally.
i lost the iui baby at 9 w due to chromosomal issues. actually i got pg twice with ivf but one was a chemical.
my ds is now 7 w due to ivf.
now that being said ...i did the highest most aggresssssive treatments for a LONG LONG time. about 9 plus iuis 3 ivfs. and rarely got more than 2 or 3 follies. most docs wont due ivf with such low follie count but dr braverman let us gamble. it paid off.. but dammmn frustrating getting so few eggs.
i also did tons of supplements like fish oils, melatonin, royal jelly, green food crapola...
fm if you want. its possible but not easy and get the amh!

Thank you so much for the reply and CONGRATS on your DS! I'm def. going to request the AMH test as soon as possible. I wonder why my doc didn't test for it to begin with...
