shower location help nassau/queens
We are looking for a place with a private room that doesnt require going up or down stairs to get to the room or the bathroom (i know, picky!). I think there will be about 50 people.
These are the places we've knocked out for various reasons.
novita
davenport inn
willie parkers
7th st cafe
cafe formaggio
piccolo bussola (perfect but i had my bridal shower there)
TR's
cafe sport
george martin
mims
waterzooi
We havent looked anywhere in queens because we dont know of any place!
We;re going to check out Paparazzi, so far that seems to be the only one in the running.
I've looked at the official shower thread and knocked out most of them too lol

Il Bacco in Little Neck, been hearing great things about it, and that they have a very pretty party room.
If you don't mind me asking, why did you decide against Waterzooi and Mims? I have these 2 on my list as maybes and I want to know if I shouldn't waste my time looking there. Thanks!

-thanks christine, jonathan's is a good location for us, we're going to check it out.
Try Uncle Bacala's also! It's across the street from Jonathans in Garden city park. We had my sister's Bridal shower there and it was great!

The Garden City Hotel has some small rooms where they do afternoon teas I believe. I love The GCH but I'm partial since my wedding was there  But we aren't having my baby shower there since it will be pretty low key.

Il Bacco has stairs. The food is delicious but the party rooms are upstairs. What about Abbraciamentos or Valentinos on the water in whitestone, they have one party room on the ground level I believe. There's also Donovans on bell that they redid, Verdi's in whitestone, and Matteo's in williston park.

Check out Eileens in little neck/great neck. in queens.. check out donovans in bayside or bourbon street in bayside.. been to showers at both and they did a great job for both..

Angelina's in Williston Park is great! I had my baby shower there and we are having my DS's christening there in a few weeks! The food is great and so is the service.

I just had mine at LaParma in Oceaside and they did an awesome job. Food was fabulous. Everyone was calling to tell us what a nice time they had and how good the food was

Il Bacco has an elevator I had my shower there and it was lovely. Valentino's (which is now Patrizia's of Bayside changed last week) does not have an elevator and you need to take stairs to the party room.
Verdi's is very nice, but their room that holds 50 is downstairs

I think if you liked the place you had your bridal shower at, you could have your baby shower there too! It could be nice to do it at the same place again, actually. The place I had my shower at was perfect too but they changed locations since then and even changed the menu. I won't even go there anymore just normally  which is too bad....
