Baby Shower Location -Queens/Nassau North Shore
I feel bad. My mom just called cause she started the search for a place for my baby shower and she didn't seem into any of the places. The only one she seemed somewhat into was New Hyde Park Inn. She also went to La Marmite and Jericho Terrace (she loved JT, but we need a minimun of 75 people for the room).
Can you guys help give me some more places to tell her. We will probably end up having around 50 people. Pretty place, good food...

She didn't like LaMarmite? I hear only raves about it...
We had SIL JenBenMen's shower at Jonathan's in Williston Park, they have a great room and the food is very good.
7th Street Cafe in GC is nice, but it's Scotto Brothers and I vow never to give them my $$$$.

Thanks guys.
Two of my cousins had their showers at Jonathan's so we wanted someplace different.
I know I was surprised about La Marmite. I have never been, but same as you heard great things. I don't know she just didn't seem thrilled. She said the price was good and the food she saw while people were having lunch looked really good, but she still wants to look around.
I'll have to look into the one in Oceanside.

Sorry to jump in but I had my shower at Peppercorns in Hicksville. It was AWESOME. Very reasonable and people were raving about the food. They have the whole upstars available. Just wanted to let you kow.

Would you mind sharing some good places? I grew up in Astoria. We are open to Queens cause some relatives are coming from there. The rest will be traveling mainly from Staten Island and North Jersey.
Not sure where in Queens you are from, but would you know if Russo's has a small room? We love that place and it just popped into my head.

Russos' has a smaller Room.. I think you have to guarantee 75.. But don't quote me.. I am having my shower on Sat at Carosello.. Russo's owns that restuarant..
On woodhaven blvd
they have woodhaven house and basorsa.. Excellent places both have very nice sized party rooms and the food is DELISH!
I am from Howard Beach so if you had it here or in the area its easy to commute since its off the Belt Park Parkway!

Giardino's in Douglaston. Had my FIL's surprise party there in July and went to dinner for my b'day in Sept.
Caffe on the Green in Bayside

in queens you have all that was mentioned and
Any place on bell blvd: Maggy Maes, donavaons( soon to be reopened) Burbon Street, Monahan and Fitgerlads. Also in Oceanside Alias Smith and jones (had my shower there 21.95 plus tax and tip pp for a bunch or sit down lunch/dinner)

I would second both of these places. The food is excellent at both, I am not sure how big the private rooms are at Giardino's though.
Nick and Maggie's on Union Turnpike in New Hyde Park is also a nice place with good food.

I vote for Giardino's too.
The decor is a bit "old" -IMO - but the food and service are great.
Good location for people traveling - right off the Cross Island and/or LIE.

I love Giardinos and Caroselo. Both are good choices.
In Nassau my shower was at La Viola in Syosset
Been to Jonathan's and loved it there too
