I was surprised how fine they were with it. Especially considering our pit was barking like crazy any time any fireworks were set off earlier this week. I guess she got used to the noise after awhile because she didn't even blink an eye. But if someone opens the garage door, forget it, she cries and pees herself. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

i left the AC on and the TV volume pretty high when i wasn't home.. then when i got home the AC was still on, i lowered the TV & they were fine. while walking my 2 dogs though earlier in the day when the obnoxious m-80s were going off, my jack russell was looking all over the place trying to figure out where the noise was coming from and walking a lot slower than usual .. made it easier for me, he is usually a puller lol

Coco's first 4th of July and it seemed like just another day. We were outside at night when they majority of them were going off and she didn't even notice them

They were terrible! Unfortunately they were being set off right in front of my house. They were still scared this morning!

The old man was not happy about it. We go through this every year with. He barks and barks barks. I had to pick him up and carry him like a baby to calm him down. My baby girl could care less.

Cosmo was fine- he had no problem with the fireworks. We had a big BBQ and he had a great time: swimming, eating, and running around. He might have just been too tired to even notice the noise!

Lilah hates fireworks (or any loud noises)... and Sam gets anxious when Lilah does.... so we ended up giving them tranqs... This was the first time Lilah wasn't in the closet or bathroom all night.

Re: how did your animals fare on 4th of july?

My older dog does her "Cowardly Lion" routine, barks like mad then hides behind something. It was her 8th July 4th so I was hoping she would be used to it by now. The pup kinda followed her lead but was not as bad as last year. DH ended up medicating them so they could relax and get some sleep. We just cranked up the AC & TV. We all got into bed about 10pm and the fireworks were over about 11:30.
