Re: 3rd birthdays
I am going to have a pizza party at DS's daycare. The daycare sends a note home a couple days before so the parents are aware that the kids will be having pizza for lunch and can opt out if they want.
I will also bring in cupcakes and favors.
We asked DS if he wanted a party at home and he said he wanted to visit grandpa which is my father and he lives in FL (gulf side). My dad wants to take him to the aquarium when we visit.
So the short answer is- just a party at the daycare.

Re: 3rd birthdays
I had a kiddie party at a place for my DD's 3rd birthday and then a family party at the house.

Re: 3rd birthdays
We went pumpkin picking with the family during the day, then had a small family party at home.

Re: 3rd birthdays
I'm debating the same thing. Not sure what to do so I'm of no help. I may just do a family thing, DS will be in school 2 x week and I've contemplated inviting his entire class but I'm leaning towards keeping it simple one more year (we did a big 1st) since I'm sure by the time 4 rolls around we'll do something bigger.

Re: 3rd birthdays
I did a kiddie party with a couple of her little friends from preschool. We just did it very low key at home.

3rd birthdays
for DDs 2nd bday we did it at a gymnastics place. we moved just before her 3rd bday, and so we were in between schools, friends were far, and money was tight. i had a party at my house with just close family and friends and she had fun. for her fourth, she is settled in school again so we will have it at a place.
DD2 has also only really had family parties. she isn't quite as social, and she enjoys having family around her paying attention to her more than having lots of kids around. for her 3rd, i will either have her classmates over or have it at a place since she will finally be settled in a class by then. My issue is that she and DD will likely be in the same class, and their bdays are only 5 weeks apart...

3rd birthdays
Dd is turning 3 Thursday. We are having a midget pool party with 25 friends and siblings. And on the weekend we are doing the family party.
If I were to have it at a bounce place per se, it would have only been kids her age

Re: 3rd birthdays
DD will be 3 in October and we are prob just doing a family and close friends (dds godfather etc) party at our home. She starts nursery school in sept so I figure this is the last year I can get away without a kiddie party!

Re: 3rd birthdays
We had Ann's party today at Bounce U. I invited all the kids from her class at daycare and a few of my friends' kids.
The last two years we did a family party at home but this year, (at the last minute) I decided to go with a kid party.
We do not have many friends with kids her age (or even close) and and the same with family (her closest cousin in age is ten years older than her!).
It was fun and honestly, the party cost as much as I spent on just the caterer for her 2nd birthday.

Re: 3rd birthdays
the first two birthdays I kept small b/c DS didnt really understand the concept. this year I think im going to do something either at our house and invite some of his daycare friends, or at a bounce place. Not sure yet.
but now Jack really understands the concept of party and presents.
