LIJ NHP Tour
I'm going tonight. The lady who I made the appointment with is a complete bonehead and is really pisssssinng me the fudge off!!!
I asked her 3 times where do we need to go and park. She tells me the main entrance and you can park on the street.
Really? What main entrance??!!? I'm looking at the map and this place has a few towers. I also find it hard to believe that we need to park on the street.
Can someone help me out here before I flip on this broad.

It depends what time your going. I work for the hospital. Sometimes you can get a spot on the street. If not there is a main parking garage or valet parking right outside the building you need to go.

There's a parking garage there, but when I went there, i just parked out on the street to save some money. We ended up parking on the opposite side of where the Katz center was but just walked through the hospital anyhow.
as far as i know, it's just one building ....

Its a huge glass building. You cant miss it and at that time you will be able to find street parking. Like the pp said she probably told you to park on the street to save a couple of bucks. Its not a long walk to the building from the street.

go in the main entrance which is the glass building. the parking is on the street unless you want to pay for the lot ( i think its $2 or $3). its hard to find parking during the day on the street but at night its easier (i lived a block away for many years).

If you go in the main hospital entrance off Lakevill Road just go straight and the building will be right in front of you. The parking garage is to the left. That is where I ususally park. But the building is huge and say Katz Women's Hospital (or something along those lines). You can't miss it.
On a side note the hospital is beautiful. My friends mom works in the maternity ward and took us on a private tour after my level II sonogram and I could not believe how nice it was. My sister in law just had a baby in another hospital and as we were walking around my DH said wow what a difference I am so happy we are coming here!

Thanks ladies. I guess I'm stressing because I looked at the map and freaked out. Plus it doesn't help that dh get super annoyed if I don't know exactly where we're going. He can be a butthead like that.
So using 270-05 76th Ave nhp ny 11040 should take us pretty close to the glass building?

ok get yourself to the northern state west, take it to lakeville road SOUTH (25S) . when you get off, make a right at the 3rd light. you will be at the entrance to the hospital. when you follow that road (slightly to the left) you will be right in front of the glass building. if you decide to park on the street you can follow that road out of the hospital and park anywhere you can find on 76th ave or on any of the small streets between lakeville and 263rd. if you want to park in the garage, when you first pull into the entrance of the hospital it will be on your left. good luck!

Depending on what time you get there you may be lucky and be able to find a spot on the street. The problem is you may have a LONG hike from where you find a spot to where Katz is. Have your DH drop you off and go find a spot in the street. If you are going by yourself and having DH meet you there, park in the garage it will be MUCH easier for you in this weather and less hiking to do. Spots on the street can be VERY far from any of the entrances and most of the buildings are on a hill so it makes it even more difficult. Going to Katz though the Parking Garage is MUCH easier and closer than the street.
