Fluid in Cervix?
I went to the hospital today for my transvaginal sono to check my cervix (I'm 18 weeks today) and the doctor said there was some fluid in my cervix and after he did an internal exam he said the cervix was a little shortened. I have to go back on Thursday for another check instead of waiting the 2 weeks as was originally planned. Needless to say I'm very nervous and wondering if i will need the cerclage surgery. Praying things don't change down there! Did anyone else have fluid in their cervix?

Re: Fluid in Cervix?
I didn't have fluid my cervix shortened from 37 to 35 around 16 weeks. I went for the extra apt a week later and it was stable at 35 (normal range) so they let me go back to every 2weeks. Now it's back up at 37 plus. They said it can fluctuate due to stress or doing too much.

Re: Fluid in Cervix?
I just wanted to tell u that if ur only 18 weeks and already having cervix issues then a declare is the best thing u can do. I had mine done at bout the same time and that enclave is what helped me keep my baby girls in me till I was almost z37 weeks. I was scared and nervous but it was worth it. Please feel free to f, me if u have any questions or just need someone to talk to,
