Which Sophie do you have/like?
i read a few years back that the original was having some incidents of choking, or almost choking. it looks like the one with handles is designed to prevent that, so i would go with the handle version

We have the first one your posted (no ring). DD used to put the feet in her mouth during teeth, along with the ears of Sophie, so that's the one I would recommend.

We have the original. DS loves her to this day - he'll be 2 in Sept. He calls her "Soshie".
She is really worn - her spots are so faded and some are completely gone, she is also dirty in some spots and no amount of scrubbing will get the stains out. She is really well loved.

They changed the design after the incidents of choking....but it's the same as any baby product.
some a$$hole doesn't watch their baby and then blames anything but themselves when something bad happens

A girl on this board went to pee or something and her baby was blue. I threw it out that day. You could call me an a-hole too bc I also use the bathroom etc for less than 1 minute here and there.

LOL It's not that small--prob about 2/3 the size of regular Sophie.
We have both and DD prefers the smaller Sophie. I also prefer it b/c it poses absolutely no choking hazard. It's also easier to clean bc it can be immersed in water (bug Sophie has a squeaker hole).

We have both. I got it in a set from Amazon. I keep the original Sophie at home and the one with the handles in my diaper bag for when we go out. My  love both.

Which Sophie do you have/like?
We had the original for our first son and he LOVED her! Still does at 2.5 lol. We got the small one for our second son because he started teething very young and we figured it would be easier for him to hold. He loved it, but outgrew it quickly. Im going to buy him the original.
