I did pretty well, not as great as past years but got some good stuff for DD's bday in a few weeks.
Make sure if you go to check the car seat aisle, at my store they had britax roundabout 50 classic's on sale for $90!

We got at Medford at opening, got a bunch of stuff. Then went to CI and hit the jackpost on Lego sets, which never go 70% off, and aren't even on clearance at Setauket or Medford. They had the very expensive Harry Potter, Dinos, Creator, Star Wars (even the Millenium Falcon!). I got a ton of stuff, as did the girls I went with. Great shopping day!
I think my girlfriend saw you. She called me and said there is a group of girls who are just like us shopping, haha.

Either this year they didn't have that big of a selection or my kids really do own every toy under the sun.
laser tag set, WWE rumblers, squinkies, brave dress up set, loopsy dress up sets, legos, mega size monster truck, squinkie board game, nerf bullets, rapunzel dress up set, dagedar,toy story art set, talking crayon holder and some other stuff. Cant remember.
I only spent 60.00

Scored big in CT! For DS I got avenger stuff, transformers, trio sets, imaginext, bakugan, aquadoodle, hot wheels, little people, moon dough.
For DD i got dora stuff, my little pony, zoobles, leapfrog alphabet, leapfrog count and draw, minnie mouse camera, fp tough camera (70 down to 20!), disney music set, cookie monster talking toy, moon dough, smurfs figures, strawberry shortcake, music crayon caddy
For gifts throughout year and donations I got lots of other stuff from above as well as squinkies, barbie stuff, cabbage patch babies, rc cars, toy story stuff, jewelry sets, zhu zhu, paper jamz
Eta: few board games - catchphrase, scrabble slam, molehill game (toddler), sesame street lucky ducks

Target Toy Sale
I spent about $170, but I got a lot of the more expensive things. We were saying that there def. Wasn't as big of a selection as there was last year, or even in January. I also think the regular prices on a lot of the stuff was much higher than in previous sales.

I made it to the Setauket store, walked in and my son talked back to me so I turned around and walked out!  So much for teaching him a lesson LOL I really wanted to christmas shop for my nieces.

went to Westbury at lunch today... disappointed on boys stuff..
They are at 70% off.. they had like 1 thomas set that was all banged up, a couple of sesame street dolls...some skate board figurines, it looked like alot of better brands were wiped out.
the baby stuff seemed to be wiped out mostly too, a couple of carseats and swings, brands didn't stand out..

Copaigue isn't marking down to 70%, but Farmingdale had a decent amount of stuff. Lots of Chugginton, Cars, etc.
They marked down in the afternoon (around 1-2). I got a bunch of stuff there at 70% off.

Did anyone see wooden Thomas stuff? I've been to Copiague every week and there is nothing good and their Thomas selection is slim.
I got this set for DD there
They had a few Thomas things, but not much.

I wandered around and didn't get much.
I bought a few thomas items last week for 50% off. nothing was left today. i bought some stuff for full price and picked up a sesame st duck game for 50% off.

I am in NJ and went to the store near me, but there really was nothing 70% off. I did ok when it was 50% off. I got:
Transformers Optimus Prime one for ds and one for a gift
Lalaloopsy play house for dd
My little pony set for a gift
a bunch of polly pocket sets for gifts
a few geo trax cars sets for ds
a complete set of chuggington trains/tracks that will be a gift
play dough cars activity pack for both of my kids
playschool drawing toy dd
Kreo bumblebee ds
Disney Princess Jasmine playset with mini doll for dd
Strawberry shortcake doll

eta: I went to another target this afternoon and did really well. I got one of those big dolls for $10 and an accessory kit. I also got some crayola stuff and a batman toy.

Went to copiague this morning - they had a fair amount! Lots of board games left and cookie monsters... Thomas and chiggington too - all plastic...
Anyone at westbury or Levittown today? I need baby/ toddler things and most of what copiague had was for bigger kids... is it worth a drive after theyre asleep???
