Re: Do you think you look the weight your scale says?

i think I do but most people are usually suprised at my actual weight. I am only 5 feet tall and weigh 117 but most people guess around 105-110.

Re: Do you think you look the weight your scale says?

I'm not sure now. I'm really not. I've lost a bunch of weight and am getting to the point of toned/muscular-ish but I'm not sure if I look my weight - I think my concept has become a bit skewed. I know when I was heavier I did NOT look my weight, even though people definitely notice my loss, nobody believes me when I tell them how heavy I actually was...I guess in clothes I hid it well.

I actually found a 'before' photo the other day in just a bra and underwear and I swear I thought it was me in a fat suit, but when dressed I learned to cover it well.

Now, I think if I had to guess I would say I look pretty close to what the scale says.

Re: Do you think you look the weight your scale says?

I don't know if people were just being nice or not but I usually heard disbelief when I'd tell people what I weighed. Until I got over about 220, I distributed weight fairly evenly.

I agree. I'm waiting for my new weight to become my reality, but it's strange. My weight has changed faster than my mind has. Sometimes I'm proud of how I look and the next minute I think, nope. Still fat. Chat Icon

I weigh more than people think. I think if you have an athletic build people always think you weigh less than you really do. Most people insist I weigh 120 lbs, when in reality I am more like 130-132.

ETA: I think I look my weight.

I don't really think i look like any particular weight. I am so bad at that, like guessing someone’s weight, I have no clue what 130 or 150 or 200 pounds “looks like”. That being said, people always think I’m much lighter than I am

I think height has a lot to do with it. I'm tall, so an extra 20 pounds on me looks a lot different on someone shorter.

When i watch the biggest loser and at the end of the season, they start approaching my weight, I ask DH if I look like that, but it's usually b/c they are 5+ inches shorter than I am.

I've always weighed more than I look. Whenever I go to the doctor's office, they always start the scale way lower than I am and then are shocked when I tell them to add 15 lbs. I think it's because I carry most of my weight in my thighs/hips, and am pretty bony on top, so with clothes on, I look much leaner than I really am.

People think I'm around 120 but in reality I'm more like 130-132. They don't factor the big butt I have.

Nope. Most people think I weigh a lot less. I agree with the other girls- when you have an athletic build people tend to think you weigh a lot less than you really do.

My actual weight has always been very deceiving. I am very muscular so people are always a good 30 pounds off my actual weight.

Re: Do you think you look the weight your scale says?

I have no idea what I look like at all. I have lost 27 lbs since March but it wasn't until I saw myself in pictures that I realized I needed to lose the weight - I thought I looked fine in the mirror. Now I'm realize I have a completely distorted view of my body. I don't even know what I am "supposed" to look like.

So I don't know - maybe I'll ask friends to guess my weight Chat Icon

Re: Do you think you look the weight your scale says?

i am 5'7" and 156 pounds. people say i look way less, but nope...my face is always thin and i think it throws people off, lol...i HATE the number on the scale, i think i look ok and when that number creeps towards 160 it upsets me. I need to stop looking at the #. I wear a size 10 and feel pretty healthy!
