One More Weight Question--Your Scale Vs. Doc!
I've been trying to weigh myself once a week, in the morning, after pee but before food. My doctor weighs me mid day, after tons of water and food. Naturally, her scale and mine differ. She just told me to go by mine. But whenever I'm at her office I joke with her and say, "no no...that's off!" LOL. Mine has always been accurate. She agreed that mid day vs morning really makes a few pounds difference, which, in the preggo weight gain game, does make a difference if you're trying to watch. Just something to think about for anyone who is worried they are up a few lbs. too many. Maybe use your home scale first thing?

The scale at my dr's office always shows at least 3 lbs more than my scale at home. Either way, I try not to look anymore.

The doctor's scale shows about 3 pounds more than mine at home-BUT when I weigh myself at home I do so without any clothes on, so that may be where the difference is coming from. I definitely have clothes on when getting weighed at the doctor's!

I hate the scale at my doctor's office, it's always higher than the one I have at home. The next time I go, I'm taking off my sneakers

My dr's office is a tad bit higher than mine---and the one at my NT scan was a few lbs higher. I take it with a grain of salt because dr's office scales are notoriously off. They're heavily trafficked and not calibrated nearly enough.

I get weighed at night so for me it's even worse! There's usually a good 3 lb difference between what I weighed myself at in the morning and what the doctor's scale says that night.

One of the nurses told me that the dr's office scales are always 3lbs off from digital and then you incorporate your clothes on top of it... that always makes me feel better. So I figure the dr's scale is off approx 5lbs with the 3lb difference and clothing! Love the rationale, but reality is another story! LOL...
