DH is not, my 2 DS did get Cir. however, im not thrilled with the outcome of either. We had reattachement issues with DS # 1 and it was horrible, having to continuously reopen and peel back the skin sucked. I really dont see the point in it, but i did it anyway & against my better judgement i will do it again if we have a boy

DS was circumsiced. DH is, and i am jewish. We didnt do a bris, but we did have it performed in the hospital. DS was a champ and handled it well. He was given a topical for the discomfort.

If we have a DS I am all for getting him circumsized; but DH has voiced some opposition to it. (DH is circumsized). It's something we're thinking about; but I can't see myself agreeing to not getting it done.

No way! I didnt cir. my 7 yr old son and it was the one of the best choices i ever made. I used to be pro-circ in my younger days then i came cross some articles and videos then there was no way in hell I could put a child through that or do something basicly cosmetic to his genitals without his consent. Luckly even tho my husband is circ he has always been against it. Im not gonna get preachy but i would suggest women doing some research and even watching videos of the procedure, get educated about it before you do it , it's a big decision that shouldnt be made blindly. Put " society standards" aside along with "looking like his dad" . Why is it not okay to circ baby girls but okay to circ baby boys? How come for thousands of years men have been uncirc yet you dont hear about rapid penis infections? Ask youself all the questions. Dont assume it's for the best, educate yourself about it and know without a doubt you are making the best choice for your son . It is far more simplistic that people think as far as the care of a uncut boy- you know what you do? Nothing! This is just for new moms who maybe are on the fence and havent gave it much thought . Im not trying to flame a war with moms who already did it, to each their own.

If this baby is another boy we will not. DH isn't, DS isn't because he wasn't born here in the US where it is a routine procedure so to keep all the men in the house the same we will opt not too.

Thanks for sharing everyone. I am a bit surprised how many women say they are doing it bc their DH is circumcised (not jst on LIF but in general) DH is but never thought just bc he is my son should be too, but I guess I can see why ...
DH and I finally really discussed it last night and he says he is fine leaving "nature intact " lol. So I think it's decided that we are not going to do it.
I figure if my boy REALLY wants to when he is a grown man then he can always get it done. I know it's a lot easier when they are babies, but whatever will be will be.
