When is baby supposed to turn?
Hi!
I'm currently 31 weeks, my baby still moves all over the place! She seems to like to lay sideways, yes completely sideways, sometimes she's up and down but I can't tell which way she is head up or down. When is she supposed to get into position?

When is baby supposed to turn?
Just by the time she's born.  I think by 36 weeks at the latest before they'll schedule a c for breech. DD was head down by 28 weeks but DS is still breech (I think) at 31 weeks. My OB said not to worry about it at this point (of course I'm totally worried about it -- why's this kid not as smart as his sister???)

Sounds like my girl lol!! I'm currently 36 weeks and she's been breech or transverse for most of my pregnancy. My doc told me last appointment that if she doesn't turn by 37 weeks they will schedule me for a CS at 39 weeks but anything can happen between now and then.

DD was head down by 28 weeks...just had a sono today DS is head down and Im 28 weeks....he's more active so I really hope he stays that way

My doc told me they schedule the CS for 39 weeks but do a sonogram before to make sure the baby is still breech. That way if she turns then they'll wait. She also said if I go into labor before 39 weeks to make sure the hospital does the sonogram that way I don't waste time in labor when I'll have to have the CS anyway.
ETA: I wouldn't worry just yet. My doc didn't even mention CS until 34 weeks, she said as long as my fluid was good that she could still turn.

it depends, some babies turn early and then they turn again toward the end.
Mine has been head down since around 20 w. my friends baby was head down at 20 w ultrasound and at 33 w ultrasound , she went for another sono at 38 w (she had some fluid issues) and baby was breech so she ended up getting a CS

She was still transverse at 32w2d. At my 35w appt she was already in position.

My baby was frank breech until about 35w. I was freaking out and did all the tricks to get this LO to go head down. My other 2 kids were head down really early like 20w. Just this baby decided to wait until the end.

My baby b just went head down a 26.5 weeks. She was across my upper belly as of the sono at 4 pm and head down at the hospital at 9pm. So I think with just one in there they have plenty of room to move around more freely until later.

I am 32 weeks, I had a sono yesterday and the tech said the baby had already turned. I felt him turn about 2 weeks ago. I just hope he stays in that position.

My DD was head down at my 28 week sono, but turned at 35w to breech and stayed that way so I had a cs at 39 weeks. I did feel her turn though, I actually thought I was in labor. DD2 is also head up as of my 30 week appt, but I am not too worried since her sister turned so late.

I recently asked my dr when they turn and when they start checking the position and she said 34-36 weeks. I am almost 32 weeks and am pretty sure s/he is moving all around!
