Beta question

We are newly pregnant, after previous miscarriage and overall difficulty getting organs for 2+ years.

We had three betas, all exactly 48 hrs apart. 1st was 104. 2nd was 475. Third was 1630.

Has anyone's betas increased this fast over 48 hrs and it was NOT multiples?

Re: Beta question

This doesn't exactly answer your question, but you really can't go by betas. Yes, they CAN be a good indicator but it's def not always accurate. People have high betas with singletons and low betas with multiples alllll the time. With triplets, my beta went from 64 to 170 in two days. I was pretty certain I had one in there...

Either way, those are great numbers so after all you said you had gone through, just embrace the fact that you have such strong numbers and at least ONE strong baby in there!!

Re: Beta question

Agree with PP.

My beta started really high...67 at only 11dpiui and then more than tripled in 48 hours. According to the betabase, my betas were always high for even triplets. But, I'm pg with a single baby.

You can't go by betas...you won't know much until your first u/s. But figure that a good doubling time is a good sign of a healthy pregnancy - just not how many babies are in there.

Good luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
