I went to Eagle, lived at 2912 Chestnut for 30 years. and my son went there in 06. I also subbed in the district. I really felt that Eagle and Tremont were the nicest.

Glad to know you've been to Eagle semi-recently. Surprised to hear what you said. I've always been told/thought that Eagle was the "lesser" of the elem schools in the district.

Thanks

I dont want to hurt anyones feelings on here and of course its just my opinion. I forgot to list Barton as well. I think I was most impressed with Tremont at the time. I did move out of the district b/c I wasnt happy overall.

Re: Does Anyones Children Currently Go To Pat-Med Schools?

My nephew goes to Pat-Med HS and my bff teaches there.

The district has it's challenges, but I don't think they reach down to elementary. And it is taking steps to improve which is huge. I think Eagle has a good reputation these days (my nephew went to Tremont).

I know the high school is a disaster with classroom size (up to 36 kids in a math class this year), but I think the elementary schools are better than normal.

I don't know.. I think school is what you put into it with your kid. You can go to the best and most award winning district on the planet.. but your child isn't going to succeed if you decide to let the district do all the work. Conversely, you can be in a district that others consider 'challenged'.. but if you work with the teachers and your kid, they will do GREAT!
