Soooo ready for school to start

DS goes back Wednesday and I'm counting the days. He does much better eith routine and learning. He's in the preschool POP program where he gets speech everyday and OT once a week.
Since the ESY program ended he's been off and getting worse with tantrums and change. If we are home for a few days then go out he'll have a tantrum or not trust where we are going.. Unless its the supermarket, which he loves. Funny thing is he doesn't eat much with his sensory issues.
Just need him back on the school bus routine and learning or I'll lose my mind. Lol
Somewhat kidding and somewhat not. He's just getting worse with a little change. I usually where the same flip flops, but he doesn't like if I put on others.
Anyone else have this issue when there's too long of a break with school?

AMEN!!!

The last few weeks have been a nightmare. Not to mention we had a new baby this month just to REALLY throw him off. I can't wait for Wednesday. He needs his routine back!

Soooo ready for school to start

Oh I hear you!! She has actually been pretty good these last few weeks but it's the constant what are we doing now every 30 minutes that is driving me nuts. She needs to be entertained and with her sensory issues there are only so many places I can go too! Can't wait for Tuesday!!

Ugh it's been a loooooooooong break. I am a bit nervous though because he's going to a new school but I'm sure after a few days it will all be good. Can't wait for structure againChat Icon

Re: Soooo ready for school to start

Thanks ladies for all the posts!
I feel bad seeing on fb everyone sad that their child is going back to school and I feel like I'm the only one that's excited b.c DS needs it. He's already saying no to the school bus, but I know once he gets back into routine and structure it'll be better.
