I think I'm having a miscarriage....so incredibly sad

I should be 6 weeks today but I started bleeding yesterday morning. It was never a lot, just when I wiped and it seemed to stop after a few hours. I called my doctor and he said it wasn't a good sign but it didn't sound like a miscarriage yet. He faxed two scripts for bloodwork and wants me to get my levels checked.

But then the bleeding started again. It's still not heavy like a period, I have on a pad but there is nothing on it but every time I go to the bathroom there are clots and blood when I wipe. I have some light cramping but nothing strong.

I'm so scared that the rest of the day is going to be horrible. For those of you who have been through this before what can I expect? I know its early, is the cramping going to get really bad? My doctor really didn't want me to come in. He said it was too early on in the pregnancy for him to be able to tell me anything.

We were supposed to be on vacation to dutch wonderland today and tomorrow with my kids but now we are staying home and instead of two wonderful days I have to deal with being sad and scared and disappointed. This just sucks!

First, I am so sorry. Either way it is scary. It could be something..it could be nothing.

However, it does sound like it could be a mc. Mine last month was very similar. I had 2 days of light spotting and on the third day was extremely heavy. I will spare you details.

Defiantly, have the dr do the bloodwork and follow up on that. Your beta numbers should double every 48 hours and continue to rise.

Good luck and take it easy. Rest and drink water.

I do feel your pain. The day after my mc I had my brother's sons bris and that weekend I hosted a baby shower at my home. It was a rough week.

That's how mine started too but I was about 8 weeks and my doctor said the spotting was normal and didn't do anything about it except wait. I really didnt like the way my doctors office handled everything- at least they are more concerned for you. And It is still early yet.

At 9 weeks for me I was told I was definitely losing the baby and at 11 weeks the MC happened. But I never bled more than spotting. It started as brown spotting for me and only turned red a few days before.

It's different for everyone though. But it hurts no matter what :( I'm sorry you have to go through this- like I said its still early and things could still turn around but if not you always have us in here to cry to :( hugs!
