Luteal phase

I have been temping and using opk's. i got a positive opk on cd16 and a rise on cd17. Not sure which day would be the ovulation day but regardless i ended up getting AF today on cd27 and was thinking it would come on tuesday.(11dpo? Or 10dpo?) last month was my first month off of birth control pills in 4 years and my luteal phase was only 7 days long. I do have an undiagnosed autoimmune disease and am concerned. Im thinking of waiting this out to see a doctor after another one or two cycles to see how this pans out since i only stopped my pills in august. On the other hand, id hate to waste time and want to see the doctor for blood work. Just wanted some advice on what to do. This is rather discouraging, mainly bc of my autoimmune disease and not sure if that is what is causing this. Chat Icon

First, you should give yourself about 3 months for your body to regulate again.

If you got a temperature rise on CD17, then you Oed on CD16. The rise happens after you ovulate. AF came on CD27 which gives you an 11 day luteal phase, which is perfectly fine.

this, especially as your LP went from 7-11 in one month it seems fine. . only 10 and under is really cause for concern. .

Luteal phase

Oh ok I was concerned of course. I made a doctor appt anyway for something else and to discuss a vbac. I was told to start a prenatal vitamin with folic acid too since I didn't start that yet. Good to know that it started on cd16- thanks!
