Did you or your doctor decide you were going to stop working at a certain number of weeks?

People keep asking me when I'm going to stop but my doctor prefers to wait and see how I'm doing as long as all goes well (which I totally agree with). Is it common for multiple moms to stop working even if everything is going well?

I'm close to being done anyway- I can't seem to shake this bronchitis I've had for a month and I'm sure running around at work doesn't help.

Whether you had a plan or n ot, when did you stop working?

I work from home but if I had to go in to work I'd probably stop at 26 weeks. Just because I started feeling crappy at 25 weeks. I would feel pain if I went grocery shopping for 20 mins so I couldn't imagine having to walk around work. Id probably work until I still felt ok though as long as my job wasn't strenuous or had me on my feet all day.

My dr was super laid back and said she had some twin moms who worked until the day they delivered. We didn't have a plan. I needed to work as long as possible in order to get paid. I have a long commute (1.5 hours each way each day). Wound up working until 33 weeks. Fluid around baby A started to go down. Worked from home until 36 weeks and gave birth at 36 weeks.

You'll know when you need to stop.

I have no plan other than I will work from hope if getting here becomes too much or if put on bedrest. I need to work as long as possible, because it is more important for me to have the time after the babies are here.

With my singleton, I worked until the day I delivered...will just have to see how this pregnancy goes...

My Dr also said its basically up to me and how i feel. My commute is about an hour and 15mins both ways and sometimes longer if there are train delays. some days a harder than others. I do not have the option to work from home so my plan is to work until about 37 weeks (or earlier if they tell me i have to stop!)

I commute from Middle Island into Manhattan and I had told my doctor I wanted to stop at 30 weeks and he said no he wanted me to stop at 28 weeks. I was beyond thrilled about that. I was so tired and the train made me feel awful.

I had no plan really. My OB wanted me to stop at 20 weeks but there was absolutely nothing wrong and I needed the money. My high risk said i can work but needed to take it super easy. I was at a desk all day so i just kept my feet up all day. At 24.5 weeks i unexpectedly had a cerclage and stopped working for 2 weeks and then worked from home part time (3 days) on bed rest. And in the office the other 2 days a week. At 32 weeks exactly i stopped working because i went into labor and had them. I wish i had stopped at 20 weeks. I always wonder if it would have made a difference. If you feel done, then start taking it easy.

I had a rough pregnancy on and off bedrest. I wound up having to go down to 3 days a week around 25 weeks because of a short cervix. I worked mon-wed-frid and was on bedrest all other times. I had a goal of making it to xmass vacation (31 weeks) and I made it. I didn't come back after xmass vacation although my high risk said I could my OB said no because me swelling was sooooo bad. I had the babies just shy of 34 weeks.
