Core Curricuulum

How is everyone dealing with the new core? I hear some schools are full into it and others are not at all. I am in a private school and we are totally into it.
What new things are you doing? Always looking for some new ideas.

My kids go to private school already and they are already into it (started last year with some aspects). honestly, as a parent, it's still foreign to me. They gave us a power point presentation with a lot of statistics on why the US is behind other countries and how this will catch us up...

But I have no complaints. my kids are only in 1st and 3rd, so they haven't gotten too far along to be lost in transition.
