If you chose middle names, please comment
Im having a dilemma... I have the middle name Ann that has been in my family for generations.. im not thrilled with the idea of giving them both the same middle name but how do you decide who gets the name?
Does it matter?
Did anyone else chose a MN/first name that represented a family memebr?

We gave each son a middle name that was an uncle I was close to and one that DH was close to (who had both passed away). We just put thee names with the first name that sounded best with each.
Is there another name that means something to you or DH that you could also use?

I just asked him this.. he said he doesnt think the name should be about other people but about us... He doesnt actually want a MN so he's leaving it up to me.

I wouldnt give the other twin the same middle name. Since Ann is in your family, I'd try to find a name in your DH's family that you could use for a middle name.

Well, my twins are b/g so we wouldnt use the same name anyway, but DD got my moms middle name and DS got a middle name after me. Can you choose another family member to honor with th eother middle name? if not, there is nothing wrong with them both having Ann as a middle name. It is really up to you!

DD's middle name is my adaption of my uncle's name that passed away. My other DDs name is a name DH just loved. But her first name is a combination of my twin aunts first names combined. Did you follow that? LOL
Juliana's middle name is Rachel. My interpretation of my Uncle Richie who passed away.
Kateyln is named after my Aunt Karen and Lynda who were twins (one has passed). So her middle name (Nicole) is just a name DH has always loved.

Both my girls have the same middle name. It is my DW last name. We decided they would get my last name (since neither of us changed our names) because it is really a great last name and I carried them, however we wanted her last name to be represented.

We have a name we have always said we would name our dd but we don't know which will get it. I think we will still choose based on which one the name fits best.
But a friend always knew she would use a certain girls name so she used it for A since she was the first born.

we named our DD's middle name from family members whom have passed away.
i dont think it would matter who got Ann. Maybe name the other DD after a family member to make it special as well

we just picked names we liked and we figured when they got in trouble it is more fun to call by a full name
my sister has 4 kids,3 girls all have a version of rose marie
so vanessa is vanessa rosemarie
gabriella is gabriella marie
and jessica is jessica rose
i say go with whatever u like

twin A has my mom's name as her middle name- Elise. Twin B has my nick name (Kate) as her middle name. We had told MIL we wanted to use her name and she begged us not to bc she hates her name. (Judith) I say go with what makes you happy. If you want two Ann's, go for it! Otherwise I am sure you can decide on a name from someone else within the family as a middle name.

My DS has my husbands middle name and DD has a shorten version of my middle name.
I think it is kind of cool for your DDs to have the same middle name!

we have b/g twins, but we only used a family name for 1 of them. DS middle name is my FIL's first name and my dad's middle name.
DD just has a middle name we liked...no special meaning.

Well I have boy/girl twins, but my DS was named after my uncle that passed away and if I had two boys, his middle name would of been from another relative. I would choose maybe another close family members middle name or use your mom's first name as your other DD middle name.

Our one son has the name Anthony which is a family name for DH, but it is after his best friend who died. it meant a lot to him, and i love the name anyway.
If this new one is a girl I would like her to have my mothers (deceased) name as a middle.

Ann is also my middle name and my mom's and my grandma's so i knew i wanted to use that for my daughter also. I am having b/g twins so its not an issue. But you could do a version of ANN in each of their middle names...for instance, my sister's middle name is Suzanne and she used Adrianna for her daughter's middle name just to keep ANN in there some where.
