Hotel in Dover England
This is probably a long shot but I will be going on a Northern European Cruise next year and will be leaving from Dover England. We want to fly in the day before and stay at a hotel in or on the outskirts of Dover.
Has anyone ever stayed there and if so can you recommend a hotel.
TIA

Re: Hotel in Dover England
There are a lot of privately owned guest houses in Dover, but you might want to find a boutique hotel or a chain. I don't think a guesthouse type thing is what you might want IMO. Stick with a chain! Best Western or Ramada maybe!

Re: Hotel in Dover England
Thank you- I was actually looking at the Best Western in Dover- it was one of the only ones that stood out as something DH and I would like. I really dont want a guest house or a bed and breakfast.

Re: Hotel in Dover England
I actually did the same thing as you and stayed in this hotel. It was a nice hotel, only issue I had was even though it was right on the water, the hotel was hot! although it was summer and europeans are not that hot on air conditioning. But I think it was the nicest hotel in town. We had dinner at a great pub around the corner and spent a few hours exploring the WWII fortress inside the Dover Cliffs. Have Fun!
