Calm me down please....coxsackie and pregnancy

I just got back from the pediatrician and they think my dd#1 might have coxsackie.....I'm sure dd#2 will get it but now I'm nervous about me and the pregnancy....anyone have experiences with being pregnant and one of their kids having this? Tia

For what I know about it, unless you eat of his spoon or lick ice cream or lollipop its very hard for an adult to get. My son had it twice in June fm me if you have any questions.

I am so sorry! I would call your OBGYN and let them know what is going on. I had it when I was in high school. I got it when I worked at a toy store. It was no fun! Just make sure you are washing your hands, not sharing drinks/utensils etc. Hang in there!

I completely understand. Just try hard not to eat off anything you son or daughter is eating off of. Also call ur ob tomorrow if you are really nervous about it. I do know that when my son go it I was worried and my husband who is a ped. told me that its rare for adults to get. Good luck

My ds had it. Before the rash appeared, but after and during the fever I put his pacifier in my mouth as well as his sippy cup and spoons. I was fine and never caught anything. Chat Icon

DS1 had it when I was about 12-weeks pregnant. His pediatrician told me not to worry – of course, I can’t remember why she said not to worry but she did have a reason. I was fine.
