Dessert Bar Ideas
My SIL took me up on my offer to help with desserts for a combo hosewarming/her hubby (my brother)'s bday. She is going for a dessert table but will have a small cake for my brother to cut into. So far I was thinking: Brownies - with reeces PB cups inside Vanilla Cake balls (maybe dipped in chocolate or drizzled with chocolate) Cookies - oreo cookies wrapped in chocolate chip cookie dough
Chocolate covered pretzels & potato chips Rice Krispy Treats ? Guiness cupcakes with Baileys frosting? Nutella Cheesecake Layer bars What should I add/change?
I want to be able to do a majority of the baking/prep on a the Thurs & Fri before since then I just have saturday to decorate and finish up

Re: Dessert Bar Ideas
That all sounds amazing!...the only thing I would add is maybe some kind of fruit platter.

Re: Dessert Bar Ideas
I agree with the fruit platter.
Everything sounds great, however, I would suggest just plain good chocolate brownies. You have a lot of special items, like even the chocolate chips cookies have a surprise. I think a lot of people would love just a basic brownie. Although maybe you can do half/half, with the reeses on one half and the other half plain.

Re: Dessert Bar Ideas
Everything you have sounds SO delicious!
I agree - definitely add fruit, because you have a lot of rich (but yummy-sounding) items.
If you wanted to lessen the work a bit, you could swap out an item or two for some nice candy/nuts -- sometimes I like to put out bowls of clementines with pistachios, chocolate covered almonds, Lindor truffles, etc. It's easy and looks pretty, and it's easy for people to pick on/eat at a party (esp. if they don't want a full plate of dessert).
Another idea to make it less prep intensive is to include some kind of ice cream ... like a modest make-your-own sundae bar with a couple of flavors of ice cream, a few toppings, whipped cream. Or even an ice cream soda station... ice cream, flavored syrups (chocolate, strawberry), and seltzer with whipped cream and maraschino cherries.
I feel like ice cream is easy and it's always a crowd pleaser. And it can be kind of refreshing after a meal.
If you want to add something totally different- because you have a lot of variety in the way of cake/cheesecake/chocolate items - you could do a fruit based dessert. Maybe something seasonal, like an apple pie or apple crumble. But that would be harder to serve, and it seems you are looking for more individual type items. Although I am sure there are recipes out there for mini apple pies or tarts.
