Dr. has no power
Hi, I am 16 wks pregnant and was supposed to have my 16 wk appt on Halloween. Due to Sandy, my Dr's phone line has been down and I have had no way of getting in touch with them. I am nervous that by the time they do get power and have to reschedule the many patients, that I will not be able to get in for my 16 wk. I was wondering if anyone had any similar experiences or ideas. Thanks! Also, my dr. is Dr. Dolisi in Garden City if anyone else goes to him...

Re: Dr. has no power
I'm sure OB patients will be rescheduled in priority order, and then gyno patients. Just be patient. I saw on the other post that drs are in your practice, and 16w is just doppler (no sono) anyway, so if you're that worried you can probably go hear the hb.

Re: Dr. has no power
16 weeks should just be a standard prenatal appt so even though i know you're anxious, you're not "missing" anything persay. i wouldn't worry.

It sounds like they have their power back. Check their Facebook page, or Dr. Dolisi's twitter account.

Re: Dr. has no power
I guess it depends on the practice because my 16wk was a very big deal, as it was a pre-anatomy scan. I would find out what this appt entails for you (maybe at your place it's just a doppler.. as a pp said.. ) and then it's not a big deal. If they were going to do a pre-anatomy scan, I'd absolutely make sure you get one! Good luck.
