Ultra Screen
Can you ladies talk to me about the NT Ultra Screen? I am going tomorrow morning and am very nervous. I have to go to Madonna Sono center as my practice doesn't do them in office. I then will go back a week later for the results. This wills urely be the longest week ever. Can you tell me a little about your experience? Especially if you went there as well?

Re: Ultra Screen
When my OB practice does the NT scan you have the sono and immediately after you meet with your OB to discuss the results. They also do the finger prick for blood and those results come back about a week later. It is a relatively quick sono, just a few measurements. They are mostly looking for markers for Downs and other chromosomal abnormalities. Don't worry yourself, more often than not everything is perfectly normal and you get to see your little peanut. Enjoy!!!

NT scan was quick. Sono tech told me right there everything was fine then dr confirmed it. Nurse pricked my finger and then dripped the blood on 5 spots on a piece of paper that gets mailed to the lab. Was wierd and my finger hurt but nothing terrible.

I totally stressed about the NT scan and I really shouldn't have. It's not even a very accurate test of anything. Try to relax, treat yourself to a craving afterwards and don't worry.
