ok now...here's another question...are you anywhere near the field of what you said you daydream about being?

for example...I saw one poster said she was a teacher and would want to be a guidance counselor which to me is a similar path of education / guidance / service to youth.

I am currently a stay at home mom and before that was a retail manager...so I am WAY OFF from that field...not only do i not have a foot in the door...I'm like...In another continent from hypothetical door.

I don't think DS's daycare does enough writing so I've ben giving him dittos each day to do.

I think I'd like to plan for the teachers - get the worksheets together, projects, etc. I don't think I could deal with 10 whiney, snotty nosed kids that weren't mine each day!

I am happy as a teacher, but I would like to be an ABA therapist. I am starting a BCBA next year, so that is really going to happen.


As far as something that is more of a daydream....TV cooking show host. It would be a show where I make man-friendly healthy/vegetarian food.

I suppose as a lawyer I can make a really good argument that yes, meteorology is a similar field.

I want so badly to be a professional party planner. I have thrown tons of big parties for birthdays, baby showers, surprise parties etc. but Once I realized that I pulled off my whole wedding in 8 weeks under budget with everything I wanted I realized I am capable of it and realized how much I truly love it. But sadly no, my profession is nowhere close to it lol. Maybe someday.... A girl can dream right?

Totally ridiculous but I really would love to be a talk show host. Love my job as a HS guidance counselor though and get to fill my needs by a ton of public speaking

I actually really like what I do...

I'm a school social worker, and I specifically work with special education students and their families. The only thing I can think of would be to add law/policy into the mix somehow. For a very long time law school was in my plan but once I stated my MSW I realized I didn't need the JD to do what I wanted. At this point it's a nice thought (I would do special education/disability work) but I'm really happy where I am.

I guess I got lucky!!!

I looove to travel internationally so my dream would be turn that into a living...like a host for a travel show or a travel reviewer. And no, my current job is nothing like that.

I do get a lot of time off so I can and do travel...buttt it'd be nice to do it on someone else's dime and be paid for it

Classical musician/ music teacher. I've always regretted not following that passion of mine.
