Anyone have a dog on phenobarbitol?

Lilly (Italian Greyhound - 5.5 yeard old) has recently been put on the anti-seizure drug phenobarbitol. She gets it once in the morning and once at night. the vet said it could make her very tired, lethargic - almost drunk-like. It's had the complete opposite effect - she is like a pup on speed. She zooms around the house, has started barking constantly, eating like a beast.

I have a call in to the vet - just wondering if anyone else had experienced this.....

Anyone have a dog on phenobarbitol?

My Dog has been taking pheno for 3 years. For the first month he was very tired, lethargic and wobbly. I was so worried that he would hurt his hips because he was so wobbly. Thankfully those symptoms went away and he was back to his normal self within a month.

I am going to be that once Lilly's body gets used to the meds she will be back to her old self again too.
