anyone have a bigger diff in weights of the twins
36 weeks and went for a growth sono today...my boy is measuring a pound and 2oz ahead of my peanut girl
They told me not to worry but they want me to go to hospital on monday for a in depth sono and another non stress test and if no bigg diff they might do c section next week
Anyone have experience with this? Could it change in a matter of days or should I prepare for babies next week!

Re: anyone have a bigger diff in weights of the twins
At my sonos they were always super close in weight until my last sono.
At birth Juliana weighed 6lbs and Katelyn was 4lbs12oz. And even now, at 19 months Juliana is still about a pound bigger.

My twins always had a difference of a pound or so.
At birth, they were 4'7 and 6'3.

Re: anyone have a bigger diff in weights of the twins
Mine always measured differently from each other. At birth baby A was 3lb 7.5 oz and baby B was 2lb 8oz. They kept the lb difference for a few months. Now baby B weighs more.
I wouldn't be concerned

Re: anyone have a bigger diff in weights of the twins
Mine were very close all throughout my pregnancy. But whe they were born at 30 weeks DS was 3.10 but DD was only 2.3. My dr. said their weights werent a factor in why I delivered early.

Re: anyone have a bigger diff in weights of the twins
My twins were born at 34.5 weeks due to the weight difference. Baby A was 5lbs 7oz and baby b was 3lbs 14oz. I didn't go into labor. They did the in depth sonogram and Baby B's blood flow compromised. They spent two weeks in the NICU but just turned 5 on 10/29 and are healthy as can be.

anyone have a bigger diff in weights of the twins
Mine were always under a pound different during the pregnancy. When they were born they were about a 1/2 pound lighter than the sonos and a pound apart in weight at 4.8 and 5.7 I had them by c section at 35w 6d because of pre-eclampsia. They spent 5 and 7 days in the NICU. They turned 18 months this week and are about 3 lbs apart :o)

Mine were always very close in sonos, but when they were born, they were 1lb 13 oz. apart! And they are still about 2 lbs apart 7 months later. Both happy & healthy

Re: anyone have a bigger diff in weights of the twins
It showed that they were just about even stevens the whole time, even the growth sono 2 days before their births... Jenna was 5lbs. 1oz. and Isabella was 4lbs. 9oz. They're just estimates, and I wouldn't worry unless they worry!

Re: anyone have a bigger diff in weights of the twins
My nephews were like a pound and a half apart, and one of them stopped growing so they were delivered via c-section at 34 weeks. And to this day the one is about 6 inches shorter!!
eta - don't worry - that likely won't happen to you

Re: anyone have a bigger diff in weights of the twins
2 oz is no big deal.
They estimated B as being a lb more than A. (not sure bhow accurate it was since both the dr and tech thought it was off. they had never been more than 5 oz diff). It turned out that A was a half lb more than B so it's not all that accurate.
