Christmas/Hanukkah list
DS is 4 and has PDD-NOS. I showed him ghe toy catalogs when they came to the house, but he never said he wanted anything. He usually doesn't ask for toys and things, hardly ever. If I ask him if he wants something in particular, he'll say yes or no. Is this typical behavior or am I just lucky to be able to take him to the toy store just to play and not have to buy something. We go to the store at least once a month. So for the holidays I just had to pick things I ghought he would like. Does your DC make a toy list? How old are they?

Re: Christmas/Hanukkah list
DS is 3 and has some developmental delays and sensory issues. He does not care for getting new toys or things bc he is so cautious with new things. He's not a fan of unpredictable toys that sing and dance or makes loud notices. I showed him the Toys R Us catalog and pretty much said no to everything. He is getting a little better now and once I explain it's something he's into or we have then he's ok. Loves cars, trains, puzzles, art stuff and any books. Most of the stuff they show are loud action figure stuff I know he won't care for. Once he gets used to something he's better, but initially could care less for new toys.

Christmas/Hanukkah list
DD just turned 6 and this is the first year she has actually asked for anything. She still doesn't look through the catalogs and pick things out though because she needs to see it "real" like on TV or in person. She definitely wants and apron (no clue why) and she wants a stage and a stand up microphone. The rest of the things we'll buy her is what we know she likes.

Re: Christmas/Hanukkah list
Sadly my four year old is largely non-verbal (he will try to repeat what I say to him, but there is no spontaneous speech ever) and has no interest or clue about what Christmas is. I just pick out toys I think he will like and then hope he wants to open them on Christmas. I wish he would run down the stairs like my other two kids and get excited. He just doesn't get it and I don't think he ever will.
