watching the clock
Hey guys,
Today has been pretty rough. Yesterday when I came back from work, DD looked sad. I was home with her for 9 months and she does not take well to new people.. she does not take well to anyone but me unless she is a good mood. She is a true mommy’s girl. When I come home she clings to me, and it breaks my heart that she can’t verbalize her emotions, yet her eyes says it all. Every morning, I pray she is asleep when I leave, because I don’t want her to see me leave and cry like today. To make things worse, I think she is teething and wasn’t well yesterday so she was extra clingy this morning. I work 5 minutes from home, so it would be a sin to quit, and given that I lost my job not so long ago and landed something quickly makes it all the more reason to stay put. I don’t know what the post is about, I just need to write it down. I miss my girl.. and I can’t wait clock to be 5:15 when she will be in my arms again.

It will get better as she gets used to it and she grows up and starts to experience more of the world around her. Until that time, lots and lots of

Re: watching the clock
All of us working moms have been there.
It gets easier over time, though it is never "easy". You will both get into a routine and find your groove.
I always say that when they are with their daycare provider / nanny / babysitter, they are learning things that we wouldn't necessarily take the time or even think of teaching them. For example, my DS #1 learned sign language from our nanny. My Mom plays the piano for/with both of my kids. So they are getting an amazing benefit out of our time apart. It always helped me to look at things from that perspective.
I hope the rest of the day flies for you!
