Potty training twins
I have not yet started to potty train. But will be soon. Do I get 2 potties or 1. DH says to just get one, but I think I should get them each their own. Just wondering what others have done. TIA!

Re: Potty training twins
I haven't even started to think about PTing my twins. But when I did PT DS I didn't buy a potty at all. Just put a step stool in front of the regular toilet bowl.
I imagine I will do the same with the girls.

Did you buy the seat to go over the toilet? My reason for wanting to buy 2 potties is that one will be on the potty and they other will want to do the same. If I had 2, I could put them on the potty at the same time.

Re: Potty training twins
Yes, I bought the potty insert ring thing for the seat.
I have the problem of one wanting to do what the other does too. But I just say "let Katelyn go and you can have a turn" and they will usually just wait for their turn. Usually is the key word

Re: Potty training twins
We have 2.
Whenever 1 kid says he has to pee, the other suddenly does too. We have 2 matching pottys and they still fight over them.

I did this with my older DS but it didn't work for the twins. They go at the same time ALL the time. It is too hard to have all 3 young kids on only 1 potty. Now that they are more used to going on the potty and knowing to hold it i am going to get rid of the little potties.

You may want to check out www.tippeetoe.com. They sell a folding step stool that you could store in your vanity just in case you need two at the same time, but don`t have to have it out all the time. It is also useful for potty training when you leave the house. It is small enough to take with you. I only have one boy, so good luck.

Re: Potty training twins
walmart has the fold up travel seat, i have that and a regualr potty so they can go at the same time if needed and not take up so much space and the fold up is great for travel.
